Kim Charmatz is originally from Maryland and has also lived in Florida, New York, and Virginia. She attended Virginia Tech, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and attended the University of Maryland, receiving a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, Science Education. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, being outdoors, hiking, bicycling, and swimming. She has a passion for protecting animals and nature.
