Lori administers the Maine ECE Registered Apprenticeship Program under the Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network’s Intermediary Sponsorship with the Department of Labor. There are two occupations: an Early Childhood Specialist 1, which requires earning one of four Maine Credentials, and an Early Childhood Specialist 2, which requires earning an associate degree in Early Childhood Education in partnership with T.E.A.C.H./Early Childhood, administered by the Maine Association for the Education of Young Children.
Lori has worked in early care and education in multiple capacities, including as a faculty member of the UMaine Cooperative Extension, Director of Child Care Connections (the child care Resource Development Center for Cumberland County), and as Executive Director of several non-profit child care, nationally-accredited centers in the Greater Portland Area, including the University of Southern Maine Child and Family Centers.
