What We Do
Campus Traditions
From Homecoming to the Banned Book Fair to Spring Fling, SEAB hosts many campus-wide traditions to bring our community together, celebrate USM spirit, and foster connections. Our campus looks forward to these events every year!
Student Organizations
USM has over 45 student organizations covering a wide variety of academic and social interests. We have club sports teams, affinity groups, student government, and our groups are continuously evolving based on student engagement. If nothing we currently offer speaks to you, you can start a new student organization!
Student Programming
In addition to our large-scale campus traditions, our office hosts smaller student programs every week on both campuses. These offerings are always changing based on what students are most excited about. We’ve offered craft programs, self-care kits, karaoke, and more – see what we have coming up by following our Instagram (@usmstudentengagement) & Campus Groups page.
Campus Groups
Our office oversees the Campus Groups platform, which is your go-to hub for learning about events and organizations/departments on campus. We highly encourage all students to activate their account and browse to see what’s coming up on campus or find a group to get involved with.
Find Your Fit
Not sure how to find your place at USM? Reach out to usmstudentengagement@maine.edu to set up a “Find Your Fit” meeting. You will meet one-on-one with someone in our office and receive tailored advice on ways to get involved at USM based on your interests, goals, and experiences.
Join Our Team!
