Professor of Philosophy Jason Read recently published on the American Philosophy Association site. Read’s article addresses director Jordan Peele’s series of films that Peele describes as depicting social demons. In his essay, Read describes the social demons addressed in the first three of the film series of five and focuses in on the most recent of Peele’s films, Nope. Nope is a 2022 American neo-Western science fiction horror film that doesn’t really seem to be as much about the space alien as it is about our current society. This is an interesting read for film and philosophy lovers alike.

The American Philosophical Association promotes the discipline and profession of philosophy, both within the academy and in the public arena. American Philosophical Association  blog(APA) shares a variety of perspectives from their members.
