Homecoming & Family Weekend 2021

Homecoming & Family Weekend is our chance to bring together alumni, students, friends, and families together to celebrate our Husky Pride and enjoy a variety of fun events across campus.

 

With ongoing developments with the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will be regularly updating this site based upon UMAINE system advisement.  Any updates to current policies can be found here and through the links provided below.  Your attention to these guidelines and support of the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and fellow alumni and guests is greatly appreciated.

 

**** 10/16/21 Update: Due to inclime

Due to inclement weather, the USM Athletics BBQ will be held in Brooks Dining Hall from 11:00am-2:00pm.

Dining Options for Saturday, October 16th:

 

1) USM Athletics BBQ

-NEW LOCATION: Brooks Dining Hall.

-Time: 11:00am-2:00pm

 

2) Dining Hall closed from 2pm-3pm

 

3) Cafe Service: (pizza, grill items, salad bar, deli station)

-Location: Brooks Dining Hall

-Time: 3:00pm-4:00pm 

 

4) Dinner (Standard Dinner Services)

-Location: Brooks Dining Hall

-Time: 4:00pm-6:30pm

 

5) Husky Hideaway

-Location: 1st Floor of Brooks Student Center

-Time: 1:00pm-11:00pm

 

***Update 9/30/21: We have a mixture of online events, in-person indoor events, and in-person outdoor events.  With ongoing developments with the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are limiting our in-person INDOOR events to a maximum of 250 people.  We strongly encourage everyone to pre-register for our indoor events to secure your space.

COVID-19 Policies: Visitors to Campus: **Please note that this policy is expected to change in the upcoming days. Please check back regularly.**

  • All visitors are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated before visiting any University facility.
  • Visitors should be aware that a vaccination card or proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test may be requested to access or enter certain university facilities, events, activities or to access or enter campus generally in certain circumstances.

Specific requirements for visitors will be posted prominently on the appropriate university website(s). To the extent practicable, activity or venue specific requirements will generally be posted with event notices and promotional materials.

Those who are not eligible by age to receive a vaccination and visitors asserting a religious objection or medical contraindication to vaccination will be allowed to present a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination.

In the event of a visitor relying on a negative COVID-19 test, it must be from within 72 hours prior to the individual’s presence on campus.

Visitors with questions or concerns should check in advance with the facility, event or activity organizers regarding any specific protocols for the facility, event or activity of interest.
