Tuition and Fees
These costs are for the academic year 2020/2021.
Tuition
Your dreams are important. At USM, we offer an excellent education at an affordable cost to help you bring them to life. We work to make our costs manageable, and offer a variety of merit scholarships (for first-year students and transfer students), many additional scholarships, and financial aid to help.
The tuition charges below are per credit hour and include audited classes. The Chancellor recommends tuition, fee, and room and board rates for approval by the Board of Trustees each year, and they become effective after the summer term. The Board may alter these rates at its discretion.
The type of tuition is determined by career/degree level. Undergraduate students taking Graduate courses will be charged at the Undergraduate rate. Graduate students taking Undergraduate courses will be charged at the Graduate rate. Tuition charges are the same for degree and certificate programs.
