Choosing a minor at the University of Southern Maine (USM) is your opportunity to learn beyond your undergraduate degree. In the case of USM’s new Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (AI) minor for undergraduate majors outside the School of Business, you’ll more deeply understand the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in business analytics and the field of AI. This minor is only available if you are not pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Understanding both business analytics and artificial intelligence will give you deep analytical skills, which are incredibly valuable to employers, especially in fields like political science, economics, criminology, and technology. Having skills that allow you to analyze data and make decisions with it will prepare you for future career opportunities in management analyst roles.
