Program Highlights

Select from two concentration options

French Linguistics

Instruction focuses on the acquisition of proficiency in the French language and its linguistic structure. Students will learn phonetics, syntax, and second language acquisition, with the goal of becoming fluent.

Spanish Linguistics

Instruction focuses on the acquisition of proficiency in the Spanish language and its linguistic structure. Students will learn phonetics, syntax, and second language acquisition, with the goal of becoming fluent.

An immersive experience

Our students learn language through an immersion approach, which means you’ll spend a large amount of time conversing with faculty already fluent in the language. More opportunities for exposure include community events and weekly language tables arranged by department staff.
