Open House: Office of Equity, Inclusion, & Community Impact

The USM Office of Equity, Inclusion, & Community Impact is pleased to announce our Open House Meet & Greet event and workshops on September 15, from 9:00-4:30.

Join EICI staff members Dr. Idella Glenn, Marina Chakmakchi, and Renee Cote, along with members of IDEC and NCBI, for cookies, candy, coffee, and tea in our new office, 124 Wishcamper. Plus we’re offering informational sessions all day in 133 Wishcamper, W. E. B. Du Bois visual displays, and the opportunity to create your own visual displays, maps, art, and pronoun buttons in the Atrium just outside our office.

Schedule and location of workshops and sessions:

Wishcamper 133

• 9am – 9:45am –  Art Gallery programs and the Juried Student show, Kat Zagaria Buckley
• 11am – 11:45am – Military-Affiliated Student Hub (M.A.S.H.) services, Lorrie Spaulding
• 1:30pm – 2pm – Disability Services Center offerings, Adrea Jaehnig
• 3pm – 3:45pm – USM and community resources for multicultural students, Marina Chakmakchi

Wishcamper Atrium (outside 124/133)

• Creating visual displays/maps/art – all day
• 10am – 11am and 2pm – 3pm – drop-in sessions
• 12pm – 1pm – Learn about the work of W. E. B. Du Bois, Jeff Beaudry

• 9:30am – 4pm – Meet & Greet the EICI staff, make pronoun buttons, and enjoy cookies, candy, coffee, and tea

All USM students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend!
