Here is the schedule for the day:

8:00 – 9:00 AM: CHECK-IN AND REGISTRATION

Check in at the Field House in our Costello Sports Center.

After you check in, there will be ice-breakers with music, games, prizes, conversation, and light refreshments in the Field House.

9:00 – 9:30 AM: WELCOME

Remain in the Field House for a brief welcome from:

• Nicole Young from our Office of Admissions
• Dr. Jacqueline Edmondson, our President
• Rodney Mondor, our Dean of Students
• Our student ambassadors

9:45 – 10:30 AM: MEET YOUR MAJOR

Faculty from each highlighted major above will meet you in their respective spaces around our Gorham campus. The list of spaces will be ready when you arrive.

If you haven’t decided on a major yet, we’ll have a space for you, too!

10:45 – 11:45 AM: ACTIVITY SPLIT

Students will gather in our Brooks Student Center to learn about life as a USM Husky — and for some trivia.

Parents and family members will gather in Bailey Hall for an informational panel discussion.

Key staff members will represent the following departments:

• Admissions
• Advising
• Orientation
• Student Engagement and Leadership
• Student Financial Services

11:45 AM – 1:00 PM: LUNCH

Everyone reunites in the Brooks Student Center dining hall for lunch.

12:00 – 1:30 PM: CAMPUS AND STUDENT RESOURCE FAIR

During our lunch break, stop by our resource fair in Hill Gym (in the Costello Sports Complex) to explore things like:

• Athletics
• Career & Employment Hub
• Student engagement and leadership
• University Counseling Services
• University Health Services
• …and many more!

1:00 PM: ATTEND A MOCK CLASS

Preview the college classroom experience in Bailey Hall.

1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, OR 2:00 PM: GORHAM CAMPUS TOURS

Choose from 3 half-hour options for a walking tour of our Gorham campus led by one of our student ambassadors.

All tours will depart from the Costello Sports Complex entrance.

2:15 PM OR 2:45 PM: PORTLAND CAMPUS TOURS

Extend your USM visit! Try out the METRO Husky Line bus service, or take a short 11-mile drive to our Portland campus. 

Choose from 2 half-hour options for a walking tour with one of our student ambassadors.

All tours will depart from the Admissions Welcome Center in the Abromson Community Education Center.
