Description: Building a positive learning environment in your classroom builds connections, and improves student engagement and learning. In this workshop we will explore physical arrangements, strategies to get to know students and build community among students, and identify cultural assumptions and biases in our own practices based on our prior learning experiences. Intentionally building a learning environment that is responsive to the students in your classroom reaps benefits in learning and brings a lot more joy to teaching.
