Join the Kate Cheney Chappell ’83 Center for Book Arts (KCCCBA) and community for an exhibition reception and lecture at the Glickman Family Library on the University of Southern Maine Portland campus.

Celebrating the KCCCBA Summer Book Program, join us on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, from 5 – 7 PM at the University Events Room on the 7th Floor of the Glickman Library (314 Forest Ave.).

A lecture will be presented by one of the Summer Book Arts instructors, Lucky Platt starting at 5pm.

The Summer Book Arts Students Exhibition runs from September 2, 2025 – October 25, 2025 at the USM Special Collections on the 6th Floor of the Glickman Library. Visit today!

Event Details

Parking is available in our University of Southern Maine Portland Garages 1 and 2 at a rate of $4.15 per hour. You may reserve your parking ahead of time via the USM Parking Interface. Additionally, the Portland METRO Husky Bus and the METRO #4 pickup/drop-off about a five-minute walk from the Glickman Family Library. An updated bus schedule can be found on the METRO website and bus fair is $2 each way.
