Weather: A Concert for Climate Change and Social Justice
Weather: A Concert for Climate Change and Social Justice
This concert will feature a variety of choral and instrumental works on the theme of weather and climate. The centerpiece of the program is the Maine premier performance of Rollo Dilworth's masterwork Weather based on Claudia Rankine's poem of the same title featuring the Osher Concert Band conducted by William Kinne, and the Osher Choral Ensembles conducted by Nicolás Alberto Dosman.

Portland Youth Ensembles Perform at Merrill Auditorium
The Portland Youth Ensembles, Portland's outstanding regional youth music performance program, will perform its annual Spring instrumental concert at Merrill Auditorium. Presented by the Osher School of Music, the concert will include: the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Robert Lehmann, OSOM director of string studies and orchestral activities; the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble, conducted by Will Kinne, OSOM director of bands; the Portland Young People's String Consort, conducted by Hanna Flewelling, and the Portland Youth Junior Orchestra, conducted by Ferdinand Liva, violin artist faculty member.
