The International Studies Track requires 4 internationally-related political science electives.  Two of the courses listed in the catalog that qualify are variable topics courses – POS 380 Topics (dependent on topic) and POS 399 [499] Topics (dependent on topic).

Note: Some POS Topics courses are taught by other programs and cross-listed with political science. For these courses, students typically choose whether to enroll in POS 380 or the other program’s prefix and course number.  To receive credit as an internationally-related political science elective, you must enroll in the POS 380 section of the cross-listed course. The prefix of the enrolled course determines how the course is counted. The same course cannot count as both an Approved Internationally-Focused Elective Course from another program and an Internationally-Related POS Elective Course.
