Christen Eaton

Christen Eaton is originally from Brockton, Massachusetts. She began working for the University of Southern Maine (USM) in 2001, and is currently an Associate Director of Advising. She is also a liaison with the USM School of Education and Human Development and the Maine Department of Education and is responsible for advising elementary education, secondary education and students pursuing K-12 teacher certification.

Christen attended the University of Southern Maine receiving her Bachelor’s in Media Studies with a concentration in Production and Design along with a minor in Economics in 2009 then went on to receive her Master’s in Education in Adult and Higher Education in 2016.

She is certified in supervision and grant writing through USM Continuing and Professional Studies. She has written multiple articles for USM’s Free Press and has presented multiple times at regional NACADA conferences.

In her spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, reading, and anything creative. She has a passion for all things vintage and collecting antique books, even some dating back to the early 1800s.
