Jennifer Major

Jennifer Major is originally from Moscow, Idaho, which is located in the northern part of the state and has the University of Idaho. She began working for the University of Southern Maine in 2021 and is currently a professional academic advisor. She is a liaison with the Social Work, Criminology, Sociology, Economics, and Psychology departments.

Before arriving at USM, she taught high school history for over 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts, bowling, road races, being outside on the water and in the mountains, and spending time with her nieces and pets. She also has a strong passion for Maine, history and her favorite Civil War hero, Joshua Chamberlain.
