Lindsay Tice

Lindsay Tice joined USM’s Office of Public Affairs in March 2021 as a public relations associate following a 23-year career as an award-winning Maine newspaper reporter.

Lindsay spent most of her journalism career at the Sun Journal in Lewiston, where she covered education issues for several years before turning her focus to healthcare, investigations, and features. Her work routinely garnered statewide and national attention, raising issues and effecting change for people whose stories needed to be told.

She earned numerous awards, including multiple honors from the New England Newspaper & Press Association, the New England Associated Press News Executives Association, and the Maine Press Association, where she had, at one point, earned more first-place awards than anyone in the association’s remembered history. She was named Maine Journalist of the Year for 2013.
