Robin Talbot is the Associate Director of the Stonecoast MFA program. Prior to joining Stonecoast, Robin was the Education and Community Outreach Coordinator for Portland’s Center for Cultural Exchange where she organized cultural performances, developed multicultural educational curriculum and maintained ongoing communication with diverse community groups in Greater Portland area. She has worked on two documentary films: A Call to Action: A Community’s Dream, which outlines the struggle for civil rights in Maine, and Starting Over; Understanding and Supporting Refugee and Immigrant Experiences. Robin is a Portland Stage Company board trustee, board member for Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and the faculty adviser of the Stonecoast Review. She has also served as a board member for Black Education and Cultural History, the NAACP Excellence in Education (Portland Branch), the University of Southern Maine’s Multicultural Curriculum Sub-committee, Women’s Resource Center Advisory Board, Festival of Arts and Scholarship committee, and People of Color, Voices in Unity Conference.
