Scott Hutcherson, MS, LCPC is a United States Navy veteran of 7 years and was the first Mental Health Police Liaison for the Portland Police Department.  He has specialized in trauma services treating combat veterans and those who have experienced Military Sexual Trauma. He has worked as the Director of Crisis Services at Ingraham, Inc., was the Senior Program Manager of Adult and Elder Services at Community Counseling Center, and is currently the Director of the Lewiston Veterans Center.  Professor Hutcherson has taught psychological trauma and crisis intervention graduate courses for over a decade, He additionally has presented at local and national conferences on Ethics and evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and EMDR since the 1990s.
