As the Program Coordinator of the Graduate Research Opportunities (GRO) program, Caitlyn, in collaboration with faculty, staff and students, strives to bring high- quality, low-barrier financial and educational resources to the graduate student researchers at USM. 

Prior to her role as GRO Program Coordinator, Caitlyn was a graduate student at USM and Research Assistant for the Office of Research and Catherine Cutler Institute. Caitlyn has worked on projects such as the annual USM Research & Scholarship Symposium helping faculty and staff fund their research; participated in a research initiative with the Maine North Atlantic Institute;  and helped create the GRO Program. She served on the Graduate Student Board and the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Council (IDEC). 

When Caitlyn is not dedicating her time to graduate student research at USM, she is working in the mental health field as a therapist. Before her work in higher education and the mental health field, Caitlyn worked as a professional baker and pastry chef.
