Her responsibilities include the supervision and training of Learning Commons Navigators and Learning Assistants, providing workshops and presentations around academic success, as well as individual academic coaching.

Prior to her work at USM, Brittney served in two different roles at the University of Maine in Orono. From 2018 to 2022, she was the Coordinator of Tutoring Services and three years prior to that, the Assistant Director for Campus Activities & Student Engagement.

Brittney is originally from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. From there, she went on to get her master’s degree in Counselor Education (Student Affairs) from Clemson University in South Carolina.

When she’s not working to help students in their coursework, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful long haired kitties, Karma & Kineo, reading, and singing with the Portland Community Chorus!
