Professor Goryunova’s core expertise and research interests are in the global leadership domain: identifying (and enhancing through leadership education) the core skills that increase the effectiveness of leaders in implementing significant positive change in a cross-cultural and cross-boundary environment, under conditions of socio-economic, political, and geographical complexity. This includes leading across cultures, generations, and diverse contexts; the future of leadership (sustainability leadership, digital leadership, distributed leadership), complex problem solving (systems thinking, adaptive leadership), and women leadership. Due to dual expertise: in natural and social science, she is fluent in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods.
