Professor Goryunova is an award-winning scholar and expert in global leadership: a discipline focused on the effectiveness of leaders implementing significant positive change in a cross-cultural and cross-boundary environment, under conditions of socio-economic, political, and geographical complexity. 

Dr. Goryunova’s scholarly publications and research interests encompass the essence of leadership; leading across cultures, generations, and diverse contexts; the future of leadership (sustainability leadership, digital leadership); complex problem-solving (systems thinking, adaptive leadership); and women’s leadership. 

Her current research centers on agentic AI, the dynamic environments of hybrid intelligence, and developing key frameworks for governance, accountability, and stewardship in modern organizations. She is a co-editor of the special issue of the Administrative Sciences (MDPI Journal) “The Organizations Under Pressure: Leadership and Culture in the Age of Agentic AI“.
