Mike Bendzela’s collection, Metazoan Variations: Evolutionary Fables and Other Emblematic Tales, won The Raw Art Review / UnCollected Press Full Length Book of Short Stories Contest and was published in November 2020. His short work has appeared in several North American periodicals and anthologies, and he won a Pushcart Prize in 1993. A parable, “Fertility,” won Two Sisters Writers & Publishers Flash Fiction Contest, January 2019. His novella “February” was published in early 2020 by Running Wild Press. He lives with his husband on a small orchard and farm in Standish.
