Amy’s work focuses on state-level applied research to inform education policymaking. She oversees a variety of research projects conducted for the Maine legislature’s Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs and for the Department of Education. The work spans a preK – 20 continuum, with particular and ongoing emphasis on public school funding, educator preparation and development, career and college readiness, instructional technology, and accountability. She also has extensive background in STEM education program evaluation. She completed her PhD in 2015 with a dissertation exploring metrics for teacher preparation program quality and accountability.
