JP Mayer is an adjunct instructor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Southern Maine. He previously taught creative writing courses at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he received his MFA in fiction. He lives in Portland and is currently writing a novel. His favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and Octavia E. Butler.
