Jennifer has enjoyed a wonderful career in public health for over 25 years, which includes being a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger; serving with the Maine health department as an epidemiologist; providing technical assistance to Caribbean and African countries on HIV surveillance; being the director of the Maine Area Health Education Center, and even owning an organic farm. Recently, she became the Director of Public Health and Community Services for the city of Bangor. Teaching at USM keeps Jennifer hopeful as she learns with and from students who are eager to make the world a better place.
