Randy Schwartz, MSPH, is an accomplished public health consultant and former Division Director of the Maine Bureau of Health (now Maine CDC), bringing over seventeen years of dedicated service to chronic disease prevention and health promotion. With his extensive background, including a significant role at the American Cancer Society (ACS) from 2015 to 2017, he has spearheaded various initiatives across state-level organizations. His career has been marked by leadership in the development and implementation of organizational strategies for cancer control and public health systems, effectively executing ACS’s national strategy for cancer control. His expertise extends to overseeing comprehensive public health programs, highlighting his tenure at the ACS, New England Division, where he played a critical role in reducing cancer’s impact. Randy holds a substantial academic presence with a connection to the University of North Carolina, Gillings School of Public Health Online MPH Program, showcasing his commitment to public health education. A recognized leader in cancer prevention and control, Randy’s contributions to the field have been acknowledged through numerous awards, including the Society for Public Health Education’s Distinguished Fellow Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Society.
