Aaron Rose is a Research Analyst at the Catherine Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine. As a member of the Data Innovation Project (DIP) he supports multiple teams, across domains, through quantitative and qualitative analysis, data modeling and management, and all elements of reporting. He brings technical expertise with experience creating and managing relational databases, programming languages, and effectively using statistical software and visualization tools. Aaron is excited to explore how tools and technology will continue shaping how DIP supports, provides technical assistance, and evaluates mission-driven organizations.

His professional experience spans environmental consulting, data analytics, and roles with community action agencies and the 211 Maine health and human services call center. He specializes in using data-driven insights to support social programs, workforce development, and health and human services delivery. Aaron is particularly interested in research that advances social and economic justice and strengthens Maine’s public and nonprofit sectors.

Aaron is a dad, a native Mainer, a book lover, a terrible bass player, and a recovering kitchen professional. When not geeking out on data, you will still find him playing in the kitchen and listening to loud music. If not there, he’ll be somewhere in or near the water.
