MacKenzie David is the Community Research and Evaluation Coordinator for the Maine Substance Use Outreach, Engagement, and Evaluation Resource Center at the Catherine Cutler Institute. This Center aims to expand Maine communities’ capacity to use data-driven, evidence-based strategies to address the opioid epidemic by providing consultation, resources, training, and evidence-based technical assistance.

After getting her undergraduate degree, MacKenzie dove into community work and was a contact tracer for COVID-19. She then worked as a prevention specialist at a safe syringe program in Quincy, MA and, most recently, as a case manager for a mental health outpatient agency in western Maine.
