John is a certified and licensed occupational therapy assistant and University of Southern Maine alumni.  John has served as academic fieldwork coordinator and educated occupational therapy assistant students for over 5 years.  He is an active advocate for the OTA community and their important role in the OT service-delivery process, extensive skill-set, and professional capabilities.

John continues to work in the mental health practice environment that he is deeply passionate about.  He has recently written a chapter for the second edition of “Management and administration for the OTA: Leadership and application skills” and looks forward to authoring upcoming scholarly texts in the future.

When he’s not teaching, John can be found enjoying nature on a mountain bike, skis, or raft; playing a musical instrument, spending time with his family and three rescue dogs, or traveling the world.
