Harrison Otis

Harrison Otis earned his MA from the University of Regina and his PhD from Baylor University, where he taught first-year writing and British and American literature survey. His dissertation, Narratives of Identity: Stories, Freedom, and Community in the Fiction of Muriel Spark, George Mackay Brown, and Kazuo Ishiguro,investigated the way these novelists portray selfhood as a product of both individual and community agency. Harrison has presented his work both nationally and internationally, and has been published in Evelyn Waugh Studies and Mark Twain Journal. Originally from Freeport, he enjoys watching movies, making music, hiking, playing board games, and spending time with his wife.
