Avery Levesque-Schott brings a strong background in nonprofit based experience, communications, and community engagement to his role at the University of Southern Maine Foundation. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Music and Peace & Conflict Studies from Butler University in Indianapolis, graduating cum laude.

Avery’s career has spanned a range of roles in mission-driven organizations, where he has focused on fostering collaboration and strengthening community connections. Before joining the University of Southern Maine Foundation, he served as Parish Administrator and Communications Specialist at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke (Episcopal) in Portland, Maine, and previously worked as a behavioral health professional supporting students in public school settings.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Southern Maine, where his studies focus on mindfulness and strategies for addressing performance anxiety. Avery is proud to contribute to the Foundation’s mission of advancing transformation and opportunity across the university.

He lives in Auburn with his wife, Bethany, their dog, and two cats. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Maine’s coast, playing disc golf, and performing with the a cappella choral ensemble Renaissance Voices.
