Diane is dual-licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  She is a clinician with University Health and Counseling and the Coordinator for Clinical Substance Use and Misuse Services at USM. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts. Diane has been working in integrated care and co-occurring mental health and substance use services for many years. Her experience spans the continuum of Behavioral Health services as a clinician, Clinical Supervisor and Program Director. 

In addition to her clinical work, she has been an instructor for The New England Institute of Addiction Studies (NEIAS) and Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC), and serves as an adjunct faculty member in Counseling Education at USM. 

Diane utilizes a Holistic, strength based frame in her work. She incorporates psychodynamic and developmental perspectives in her approach as well as other techniques and interventions matched to meet each individual’s circumstance and need. 

Diane is passionate about supporting the development and growth of individuals as they embark on their journeys to discover meaning and purpose in their lives. 

Diane loves to explore new places, walk the beach, and join in the gift of wonderment with her grandchildren.
