Abby is the Casco Bay Estuary Partnership’s Policy and Science Assistant. She supports the Partnership staff in data collection, report writing, and storytelling. With a background in outreach and education, Abby is eager to learn and teach others about the natural world. She graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Unity College.
Abby has been a whale watch naturalist in the Gulf of Maine, a snowshoe guide in the mountains of Western Maine, and a zipline instructor in the Southern Berkshires of Massachusetts. She has worked for several land trusts across the region including Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Northeast Wilderness Trust, Scarborough Land Trust, and Saco Valley Land Trust. Most recently, she has developed skills in community engagement and space activation, leading placemaking projects in both Westbrook and Portland.
In her free time, Abby can be found at the Vallée Square Concert Series, a Maine Outdoor Film Festival screening, or exploring the Gulf of Maine by ferry. She enjoys adventure during all seasons in Maine’s many mountains, lakes, and waterfront communities.
