Bill Ferreira

Bill joined the Disability Services Center in 2002 as the Learning Disability Specialist determining accommodations and providing case management services to students.  Bill is a Certified National School Psychologist and a Licensed Psychological Examiner.  His areas of expertise include learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and attentional disorders.  Bill received his M.Ed in Community Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern University and his Masters in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.  In addition to serving as the Learning Disability Specialist at the DSC, Bill works as a School Psychologist for Portland Public Schools.

Bill is also the proud father of USM Alum, Jacob Ferreira who graduated in 2013 with a degree in Environmental Sciences.  For Bill, community is at the heart of USM.  Bill is energized by the intellectual spirit and diversity on campus and is fully committed to supporting USM’s central position in providing the necessary resources and knowledge base to meet the immense challenges of the near and far future.
