Bronley Luhrman

After living away for many years, Bronley is thrilled to be considered a “boomerang,” having settled back in her home state of Maine. She joined the USM Foundation in 2022 as a member of the Engagement Team, where she works to build relationships and foster connections with our treasured alums and the greater USM community. Bronley’s previous experience includes work in the public policy and political arena. She served for six years in various capacities for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. With a background in fundraising and development, she has worked in the nonprofit sector for many years since her political days, including a community foundation, a film festival, an environmental and health advocacy organization, and political advocacy groups.

Bronley has a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and BA in Art History from University of Vermont. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family traveling, cooking, surfing, and adventuring.
