Cristina Kerluke joined the Learning Commons team at the University of Southern Maine in April 2019. Her responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the tutoring service at The Learning Commons and hiring and training student employees to serve in the roles of Adult Learner Coaches, Peer Academic Coaches, Subject-Based Tutors, and Technology Coaches.

Originally from St. Agatha, Maine, Cristina comes to USM from the University of Maine, where she worked in Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes from 2003-2019. In her role as Assistant Director & Tutor Coordinator, Cristina was responsible for the ongoing planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive academic support program for NCAA Division I student-athletes. She provided day-to-day departmental leadership for students, coaches, and administration, in addition to mentoring students to obtain optimal academic success through the establishment of study skill development and academic accountability. As Tutor Coordinator, she coordinated all aspects of the program, including the recruitment, hiring, training, and daily management of student employees.
