Assistant Professor, Leadership & Organizational Studies

Dr. Alegbeleye’s research interests are in the areas of Leader-Follower Dynamics, Transformational Leadership, Shared/Distributed Leadership, Followership, Teamwork, Global Leadership, and Teaching and Learning. His current research project focuses on collaborative approaches to leadership, their influence on teamwork and team effectiveness, and their implication for workforce readiness, organizational development, and social change. Specifically, he is exploring how leadership can be distributed or shared among team members and its impact on teamwork and team effectiveness. Moreover, since leadership and followership are complementary and one cannot occur without the other, he is simultaneously exploring how shared followership influences teamwork and team effectiveness.
