Daniel has served as the Director for the Promise Scholarship Program since its inception in 2018. In this role, he is focused on the retention and persistance of first-generation and limited-income students and providing critical resources to ensure scholars thrive at USM. He has worked in higher education for over 15 years with prior experience in TRIO college access programs, residential life, and academic advising. He also works per diem for the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) leading financial aid info sessions for school communities across Maine.
Originally from New Hampshire, Daniel has lived and worked across the northeast including Massachusetts, New York and now Maine. He was a first-generation college student earning his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire and his master’s degree in Sport Management from Ithaca College. In his spare time, he enjoys playing softball, tennis, volleyball, and volunteering in the community.
