Dr. Williams is an alumna of the USM School Psychology program, where she also worked as a Graduate Assistant and Research Assistant working with the faculty in the Special Education program. She is pleased to have maintained relationships with and teach classes in a part-time capacity in both programs, as well as the Special Education programs at other UMS campuses. Most of the coursework that she has taught has been in the content areas of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Assessment in Special Education, Physical Bases of Behavior, and Professional Ethics.

Dr. Williams also works full-time as a school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst in RSU 10, in the Western Foothills of Maine. In this role, she engages in district- and building-level planning around academic and behavioral multi-tiered systems of support and crisis planning and intervention, academic and behavioral consultation with teachers, special education evaluations and functional behavioral assessments of students, direct student intervention, and supervision of graduate students, interns, and newly credentialed school psychologists. Dr. Williams is also active in professional organizations, currently sitting on the Department of Education’s Advisory Committee for School Psychology and serving as chair of the Member Services committee for the Maine Association of School Psychologists.
