Erin Arneson works on a team embedded at the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention where she serves as the Health Communication Specialist for the Environmental and Occupational Health Program. Erin joined the Catherine Cutler Institute in 2018. In her role, she is responsible for marketing Maine’s Environmental Public Health Tracking Program – the Maine Tracking Network.

Erin creates data storytelling products and promotes the use of local environmental and health data among target audiences. Her projects include developing social marketing messages for primary topic areas of childhood lead poisoning, well water contaminants, climate resiliency, and acute environmental risks via social media, press releases, print materials, and web content.

Erin holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She is interested in the fundamental causes of health and how communication campaigns can address individual behaviors, communities, and policies.
