James Sloan
Research Associate
James Sloan joined CEPARE as a part-time research assistant in 2001 and became a full-time research associate in 2003. His research is primarily in school funding policy and emphasizes adequacy and equity in state school subsidy formulas as well as performance measurement. He earned a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Pennsylvania and has taken graduate courses in philosophy, counseling, quantitative methods, and public policy at the University of Iowa and the University of Southern Maine.
