  • Jill uses active learning methods to engage students with rare and original special collections, promoting primary source literacy and archival literacy in the USM community. She brings an interdisciplinary, experiential background to her work in cataloging, manuscript processing, and instruction. Museum and public library experience inform her approach to academic librarianship. Before earning her MSLIS, Jill worked as a farmhand, barista, salesperson, and painter. She loves Maine history and the environment. She is a proud first-generation college graduate.
