JJ Amaworo Wilson’s short fiction, essays and poetry have been published in numerous literary magazines and anthologies, including African American Journal, Justice JournalMission at TenthElectric LiteratureThe Frogmore PapersIC3: The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain, and Afrobeat, among others. His first novel, Damnificados, was published by PM Press in 2016. It won four major awards, was nominated for an American Book Award, and was named a Top 10 book in “O”, the Oprah Winfrey magazine. His second novel is Nazaré, PM Press, 2021.

Amaworo Wilson has also written twenty books about language and language learning, two of which won awards that saw him honored at Buckingham Palace in 2008 and 2011 in his native UK. He is the writer-in-residence at Western New Mexico University, USA.
