Kevin is thrilled to be a full-time USM Theatre faculty member, serving as the Costume Director! For over ten years, he has been a costume designer in New England. He holds an MFA in Costume Design from Boston University, where he was awarded the Virgil C. Johnson Award for Excellence in Costume Design upon graduation, as well as a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Dance Concentration. Throughout his career, Kevin has designed for many theatre companies, including The Ogunquit Playhouse, Maine State Music Theatre, The Public Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Greater Boston Stage Company, and Boston Playwright’s Theater, to name a few. In the summers, you’ll find him serving as the Costume Director for the Ogunquit Playhouse Arts Academy. He also owns a tailoring business called Twisted Tailoring! Twice nominated for Broadway World Maine Awards for Best Professional Costume Design, Kevin earned these recognitions for his work at The Public Theatre and Maddy’s Theatre. Additionally, as a founding member of the CIC Theater Company in Boston, he served as Production Manager and Resident Costume Designer for five years, bringing theatre education to Boston’s underserved youth. Excited for his role at USM, Kevin looks forward to sharing his wealth of experience and passion for theatre with students and the broader Maine theatre community—and to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of theatre designers!
