Kristin Rieff is an adjunct instructor of Composition, Professional Writing, and Creative Writing at the University of Southern Maine. She has been teaching writing and literature at Maine’s Community College System since 2004, and through the University of Maine system since 2012. Her classes emphasize critical thought and analysis and aim to provide students opportunities to develop and fine tune their individual writing processes and styles. She has also taught courses in Literature and Poetry, and has served as an ELL instructor for both Merrymeeting Adult Education and Portland Adult Education. In addition to her studies in Creative Writing, she has worked in managerial roles in local non-profit agencies serving the community. Her writing has been featured in the Portland Phoenix and MaineBiz.
