Leonard J. Shedletsky, PhD., Professor of Communication, has been teaching in the Department of Communication at the University of Southern Maine since 1979. With a background in psycholinguistics, his perspective on human communication is cognitive. In this connection, he teaches a course on intrapersonal communication and one on meaning. He has published several books on intrapersonal communication and numerous articles, chapters and conference papers.
He was awarded recognition by his colleagues and the administration at USM for STELLAR scholarship and teaching. He was awarded the Russell Chair in philosophy and education for 2009-2011.
