Research Interests
Some of my areas of interests in the field include: networks (especially the lower layers),the use of virtualization for isolation and redundacy, creating realistic simulated environments for cybersecurity instruction, network and systems monitoring, and infrastructure security.
I teach courses in the Cybersecurity and Information Technology areas, and currently the chair for the Department of Technology. I have been teaching full-time for more than 12 years now, and have been working in the Information Technology field since 1988. (Yes, in theory, that makes me old – but I will never admit it).
