Matthew Butcher

Matthew grew up in New Hampshire and joined USM in 2026 as the Administrative Specialist for the Advising office. He works primarily out of the Gorham office.

Matthew attended Franklin&Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where he earned his BA in Classics with a minor in Theatre in 2018. He briefly lived in Washington, D.C. with his spouse while they pursued creative projects, including working with the Washington National Opera, before moving back to Maine.

In his free time he enjoys performing, reading, traveling, training, and playing TTRPGs and games of all kinds with family and friends.
