Melissa Burns

In my latest position, I have multiple roles as a catalog / web editor, course scheduler, scholarship program and recognition day coordinator, accreditation and learning data support for AASCB, registration and scheduling office liaison, advising office liaison, faculty advising support, and student affairs staff supervisor. My student responsibilities include: Dean’s Office management of Prior Course Approvals, Change of Major/Minors, Graduation Certifications, Independent Studies, and Course Withdrawals; and overseeing of Academic Actions (Advisory role).

I previously worked as the Coordinator of Career Services and Internships and as an Academic Advisor & Coordinator of Student Affairs at the USM School of Business. In addition, I have been a career and transfer advisor at J. Sargent Reynolds Community College and assisted clients at federally funded employment and training programs and staffing agencies.
